A stretch ceiling can be applied in virtually any space - from living rooms and bedrooms to kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms and offices. Thanks to the moisture- and mould-resistant properties of polyester, it is also the ideal solution for wet areas. And because every fabric is made entirely to measure, it fits any shape: rectangular, L-shaped, round or with a cutout for a chimney breast or beam.
Most stretch ceilings are installed within one working day. Furniture can often remain in place, no dust is produced and your space is immediately ready for use after installation. For larger or more complex projects, such as multiple rooms or integrated technology, installation may take slightly longer. Our project manager will always discuss this with you in advance.

A polyester stretch ceiling is exceptionally low-maintenance and washable. Thanks to the fabric's durable coating, dirt and dust cannot penetrate deep into the fibres, ensuring the ceiling retains its fresh appearance for years. Maintenance is surprisingly simple and requires no expensive cleaning agents.
- Light soiling: for dust or cobwebs, a soft duster or a dry microfibre cloth is sufficient.
- Removing stains: grease splashes or insect spots can be easily removed using a white magic sponge lightly dampened with water.
- No aggressive agents: never use abrasives or corrosive products. These are unnecessary and could damage the protective coating.

Will the fabric be damaged by the weight or heat of the lamps?
At Kanvas, we work with specially developed rigid mounting brackets. This ensures the lighting rests on a stable construction, not on the fabric itself. As a result, you can repeatedly remove fixtures or replace bulbs without any risk of crumbling, tearing, or other damage.
Yes, this is one of the unique advantages of our system. The ceiling fabric can be demounted by our specialists and subsequently reinstalled perfectly taut. This means that even years after the initial installation, we can easily pull extra cables, install new lighting, or add additional technologies (such as speakers or sensors). All of this is achieved without any demolition work, dust, or the need to repaint.
The loss of height depends on the type of stretch ceiling you choose:
- Standard stretch ceiling (Prime): for a sleek, aesthetic finish, we only require 4.5 cm of space for the profiles and the fabric.
- Acoustic stretch ceiling (Soft Sound & Soft Sound Pro): to guarantee optimal sound absorption, we place a high-quality insulation layer above the fabric. For this, you should account for a height loss between 4.5 and 6.5 cm.
