What is a Skylight luminous stretch ceiling?
The Kanvas Skylight is a stretch ceiling in which LED lighting is placed above a translucent (light-transmitting) fabric. The fabric spreads the light softly and evenly, with no visible light points or harsh shadows. Kanvas always installs a double fabric: the outer translucent fabric diffuses the light; the inner fabric provides acoustic benefit and keeps dust, insects and dirt invisible above the ceiling.

The LED strips, cables and fixings disappear entirely above the fabric. No visible fittings, no pendants, no surface-mounted spotlights. The ceiling looks clean and simple while all the technology remains invisible. Ventilation, smoke detectors and other elements can be integrated as required.
6. Combinable with acoustics and print
A Skylight can be combined with SoftSound fabrics for extra sound absorption, or with printed panels for a visual effect. Kanvas advises on the optimal combination for each room, taking acoustic requirements, fire ratings and the desired aesthetic result into account.

- Warm white LED (2700–3000K): soft, warm glow. Ideal for living spaces, entrance halls, dressing rooms and bedrooms. Creates an inviting, homely atmosphere.
- Cool white LED (4000–6500K): bright, functional light. The choice for offices, showrooms, meeting rooms and commercial spaces. High light output with minimal heat.
- RGB LED: adjustable colours for every moment. Popular in the hospitality sector, retail, wellness and creative spaces. Controllable via app, remote control or smart home integration.
- Print on the fabric: combine Skylight with a printed translucent fabric for a colour effect or decorative pattern that becomes visible when the light is on. Fully custom-made.

4 steps to your Skylight luminous stretch ceiling
STEP 1: consultation and lighting plan
One of our team members visits to advise on LED type, colour temperature, dimmers and integrations. We measure up precisely and draw up a detailed lighting plan that balances atmosphere and function.
STEP 2: custom production in our workshop
The translucent fabric, the inner acoustic fabric and all LED components are custom-cut and prepared in our workshop in Waregem. We calculate the precise LED distance for even light distribution.
STEP 3: installation
Our experienced team fixes the profiles, positions the LED strips at the correct distance, lays the electrical circuit and tensions the fabrics. No cutting or grinding work required.
STEP 4: handover and aftercare
You receive a cleaning product and instructions. Your dedicated contact remains available. 10-year guarantee included. LED replacement is possible without full dismantling.
