Why polyester and not PVC?

A large part of the stretch wall market still relies on PVC. We don’t. Not because it’s impossible, but because polyester is simply superior. And that’s a difference you’ll feel strongly after ten years as you did on day one. 

  • Dimensionally stable and tear-resistant: polyester never sags. While PVC becomes sensitive to temperature fluctuations over time and loses its tension, our fabric remains drum-tight - summer and winter, year after year.

A Wonderwall from Kanvas is an investment for life. The polyester fabric is dimensionally stable, UV-resistant, and does not become porous. This ensures the wall stays drum-tight and colorfast for decades without ever needing to paint again.

Minimal. Our slim profiles take up only 1 to 3 centimeters. If extra acoustic insulation or lighting is integrated behind the wall, the build-up will be slightly deeper in consultation with you. The priority is ensuring everything is perfectly integrated.

Absolutely. Sockets, light switches, thermostats, and even TV mounts are integrated seamlessly and with millimeter precision into the wall. You see the technology, but you don't see the intervention.

Yes. All Wonderwall fabrics from Kanvas hold European fire certification class B-s, d0: flame-retardant with very limited smoke production. Suitable for homes as well as public buildings, offices, and healthcare institutions.

Polyester is a very robust material. Unlike a painted wall, you won't easily see scratches or scuffs from furniture leaning against it. The fabric is under high tension and is very tear-resistant.

Yes, our polyester fabrics are moisture-resistant and treated to be anti-fungal. They provide a beautiful, seamless alternative to tiles and immediately give your bathroom a warm, luxurious look.

The walls are antistatic, meaning they attract hardly any dust. If necessary, they can be easily cleaned with a soft, damp cloth and a non-aggressive cleaning agent.

A stretch wall can be installed over a raw or damaged wall without pre-treatment. Furthermore, it offers extra functions like acoustic insulation and the ability to integrate lighting, which is impossible with wallpaper. 

Yes, our systems are removable. If you want to make adjustments to the underlying technology later, the fabric can be detached and then perfectly re-tensioned.

Certainly! We can produce razor-sharp custom prints. The only requirement is that the provided photo has a sufficiently high resolution.

We can install completely seamless pieces up to 5 meters in width or height. For larger surfaces, we use our invisible joining technique: two fabrics are held together in a single shared profile, without any height difference or shadowing.
