Standard stretch ceilings (Prime)
The Prime stretch ceiling is the standard polyester solution from Kanvas. It consists of an exceptionally fine-woven polyester fabric that is cold-stretched beneath your existing ceiling. This process requires no heat cannons and no demolition work. The result is a sleek, seamless surface that looks perfect under any lighting conditions.

6 reasons to choose a Prime polyester stretch ceiling
1. Flawless under any light
Natural light often reveals imperfections in plasterwork or paint. The fine polyester weave of Prime guarantees an absolutely smooth surface, even in rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows or close-range spotlights.
2. Never paint again
Polyester does not discolor from UV light and never becomes porous. The fabric is easy to clean with a damp cloth. Say goodbye to thermal cracks or fissures caused by the settling of the building—just a perfectly even ceiling, year after year.
3. Moisture-resistant and antibacterial
The polyester fabric receives an anti-static and antibacterial treatment. This makes it the ideal solution for spaces where traditional plaster or drywall fails, such as bathrooms, kitchens, indoor pools, and wellness areas.
4. Cold-stretch system
Kanvas works exclusively with cold-stretched polyester. The fabric maintains its tension even during extreme heat or cold—a stability that PVC stretch ceilings (which require heat for installation) simply cannot guarantee.
5. Completely hidden, perfectly integrated
Wiring, pipes, and structural unevenness all disappear behind the stretch ceiling. Lighting, ventilation, smoke detectors, and curtain rails are seamlessly integrated using precision-engineered fittings.
6. Financially attractive
A stretch ceiling is more cost-effective than traditional plastering. You benefit from fewer contractors on-site, no need for subsequent painting, and zero maintenance repairs. Furthermore, for renovations, a reduced VAT rate of 6% may apply.
Color Selection
The color of your stretch ceiling largely determines the atmosphere and sense of space in your home. Whether you opt for a timeless classic or a bold statement, the possibilities are endless. To help you decide, we have listed our most popular finishes and colors below.
- Traffic White (RAL 9016)
The most popular choice for modern interiors. It provides a spacious, bright appearance, even in rooms with limited natural daylight. - Off-White (RAL 9010)
A warm shade of white that pairs beautifully with wood, brick, and natural materials. This is the classic choice for renovation projects. - Jet Black (RAL 9005)
Adds ambiance and depth. This color is a favorite for kitchens, restaurants, and bedrooms featuring indirect lighting. - Custom Printing
Any RAL color or custom image can be applied via sublimation printing. The ink penetrates deep into the fibers, ensuring the result is wear-resistant and colorfast.
Applications
Thanks to the unique properties of the material, the possibilities for our stretch ceilings are virtually endless. From humid environments like bathrooms to prestigious office settings, we offer a seamless finish that suits every space and function.
